Ayyub Salah oglu Guliyev ((アゼルバイジャン語:Əyyub Salah oğlu Quliyev); born 1 June 1954) is an Azerbaijani astrophysicist, working on comets. He is a doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor, corresponding member of ANAS and a director of the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory.〔(【引用サイトリンク】script-title=ru:Айюб Салах оглы Гулиев )〕 Also Ayyub Guliyev is president of Azerbaijan Astronomical Society and member of the European Astronomical Society. == Scientific activities == Exploring the comet system Guliyev found more than 50 effects. Studied the question of the interaction of comets and planets. Jointly with S. K. Sekhwletski he predicted tectonic activity of Uranium satellites. Guliyev predicted the imminent opening of the Neptunian rings. He studied the phenomenon of falling brightness of comets, studied and interpreted the distribution of long-period comets nodes. Guliyev founded a new theory of the short perihelion comets. Guliyev is an author of over 130 scientific articles, including two books.
